British Airways cuts flights to seven major destinations – see full list
British Airways has announced significant adjustments to its Middle East flight network, reducing services across several key destinations and permanently withdrawing one route altogether as regional tensions continue to affect travel plans.
The airline confirmed updates to its Summer 2026 flight schedule, which runs until October 24, explaining that the changes are linked to instability and ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving Iran and US-Israeli forces. The revised timetable is intended to provide travelers with more certainty while the situation remains under review.
Among the biggest changes is Dubai, where British Airways is scaling back operations considerably. Instead of running three flights each day, the airline will temporarily operate only one daily service. Plans currently indicate that regular daily operations will return on August 1, while a second daily flight is expected to restart on October 16.
Several other routes are also seeing reduced frequency. Flights to Doha, Qatar; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Tel Aviv, Israel have all been cut from 2 daily departures to 1. British Airways expects those routes to return to their previous schedules beginning August 1.
The airline has also completed a broader review of its route network and confirmed that flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be discontinued permanently. Services on that route are set to end on April 24.
In a statement, British Airways said it is continuing to monitor developments closely and remains in direct contact with affected passengers. The airline added that it has already supported thousands of travelers by arranging return journeys, operating relief services, and increasing capacity on several important long-haul routes.
